Screen Buzz: Is Trisha's Name Also Nandini? - 10 Jan 2008
VV Vinayak names his heroine as Nandini in every film. We already said this long back. The name of Keerthi Chawla in 'Adi' is Nandini. The name Nayantara in Yogi is Nandini. The name of Sjriya in Tagore is Nandini. So will Trisha's name in the film 'Krishna' also stands to be 'Nandini'?
The movie is set to release on 12th of this month and the posters are proving to be very promising. The glamour does of Trisha is felt enough and Vinayak says that it is the movie that goes in the backdrop of Vijayawada and Kanakadurga Temple. It's again and action dose in the school of Vinayak. Ravi Teja's portrayal stands strong it seems. Keeping that everything aside, will Vinayak continue his sentimental name Nandini again? Or will he bring a change? That has to be seen. If he continues, a focus should be kept on real life Nandini in Vinayak's life.
Vikram's Bheema gets mightier - 30 Dec 2007
Finally, Bheema might get to see the light of the day for Pongal 2008. Reputed production house Pyramid Saimira, impressed after watching the trailers, has expressed desire to buy out the movie in regions – US, Malaysia, and India – where they can screen the movie in their own theatres. However, as if the existing misfortune shrouding the movie isn’t enough, its release is now stuck in the hands of a deal signed between Adlabs and A.M. Ratnam’s Surya movies. Bheema is a joint production venture by A.M. Ratnam and AdLabs Entertainment. Now when Saimira is ready for the movie’s release, A.M. Ratnam could not take a unanimous decision on the selling out of the movie due to the contract signed between him and AdLabs that requires mutual consent from both the producers for the release of the movie. Sources aver that talks are on for the same. Now for the good news, Bheema’s trailers are being screened in Saimira’s theatres across locations where Billa is released. Much to the delight of the producers, the trailers have been received with tremendous response among the fans. It wouldn’t be long enough to find out whether the movie will be received with the same enthusiasm.

Trisha and rainy days - 30 Dec 2007
Trisha could not forget the previous year’s rainy season and the current one। For different reasons, of course। Her car, parked in underground car parking, was drowned in flood water when she was away in Hyderabad during last season। As a result, Trisha had to sell her lucky car. However, the sad rays on the beautiful face disappeared soon. This season, she has bought a BMW car that has her favorite black colour. She is so thrilled to travel in the car. Those who get a chance to go to Chennai boat club area could see her enjoying the smooth ride. Tail piece: Nayantara, Trisha’s close competitor in the field, too has bought a similar car.
Leeches bite Trisha - 12 Nov 2007
The shooting for Tamil movie 'Abhiyum Naanum' is taking place in Munnar। The weather has been rainy on and off। Director Radha Mohan shot a song sequence where Trisha has to frolic in dense forest area। Heavy rain…cool ground…cool season…is this not enough for the leeches to come out? While Trisha was sbusy dancing and singing, the leeches quietly climbed on haer much to her fright। After that, they moved to a place where there were no leeches, to continue the shooting. Trisha has a huge fan following in Kerala. They chase after her wherever she goes. It's not easy being an actress. One has to be scared of not only creepy crawlies but people as well!
Trisha gets a new look - 15 Jan 2008
“My look in the movie is new. My character— bold,” she says.
Following their onscreen chemistry in Saamy, Vikram and Trisha have been paired for the second time in Bheema. “But it’s a city role this time and it’s action-packed. There’s no comedian in the movie, nor is there an exclusive track for humour. The only lighter side will be the romantic interlude between Vikram and me,” she reveals
“There’s no need to listen to the story of a few directors to take up the role they offer. Lingusamy belongs to that league,” she says, heaping praise on the director she has worked with earlier, for Ji. And one of the first things the director worked on after narrating the story was her body language.
“Lingusamy and Vikram helped me immensely in getting the right look for the role. It will show when you watch the movie,” she confidently says. In terms of her looks, her straightened hair, that seem to have gotten monotonous after Something Something Unakkum Enakkum have been replaced with curls in Bheema.
As for dubbing in her movies, something she has tried only during Aiyitha Ezhuthu, “No,I haven’t dubbed my voice in Bheema,” she says. “I’d love to do it but my Tamil is too Anglicised for it,” she smiles.
According to sources, Trisha has signed the film to play opposite Nagarjuna in a film to be directed by Srinu Vaitla. It is a dream come true for Trisha. For she has been waiting to act with handsome Nagarjuna. Although she has her dairy full till the middle of 2008 with many films in Tamil, Trisha is said to have readily agreed to this film for the only reason to act with Nagarjuna. It is an entertaining romantic drama. |
